Recent viewings of strange creatures - Unknown airborne species?
According to the reports of several eyewitnesses, a new, unknown species seems to appear all around the world. Apparently it has exceptional flight abilities, and a few sightings even include some kind of fire breathing capabilities. Do dragons conquer the world now?
"I was on a short hiking trip around a small village next to my hometown this afternoon", reported a citizen of Arnheim, Netherlands, "so I took my camera with me in the hope I could make a few beautiful snapshots of the sunset." But as he took out the camera, he suddenly spotted a strange, moving dark silhouette in the sky. "It looked like a mix of a plane and an overgrown bat, with very large wings and a tail with two fins. I immediately raised the camera to take a picture of it, but it flew way too fast to lock on it. Suddenly it went on a steep dive towards an empty slurry tank. I heard a strange, high-pitched noise, like a scream or a ballistic noise. Right in the moment I pushed the trigger button, a flash of bright blue fire blinded me, followed by a pressure wave almost knocking me off my feet."
"After striking the tank with its strange, explosive fire, it flew a half circle around me, letting out a loud, deep growl, and then flew over the forest and disappeared."
Similar reports also came from other countries, including Japan, New Zealand, and Chile. Some of them include even more details, like almost black, relatively small scales, a set of small, second wings behind te main wings, and 4-6 ear-like appendages on the head.
"It is only a matter of time until the first close encounter will be reported", says an expert for unidentified species, "and then we will see if the creatures are peaceful to us or not. Hopefully nobody will strike on the idea to try to catch, or even shoot down one of them, as this may end up in a major conflict between them and us. Nobody knows where those creatures come from, and at least some of the sightings allow only one conclusion: They are not much less intelligent than we."
Reports about similar species, coming from Pamir in Asia, have been ingnored by almost all media for a long time. According to the local mythology there, they appeared as a product of cooperation of the Spirit of Lightning and the God of Death. They are viewed as divine creatures, and when they decide to show up to the local population, that is viewed as a sign of an approaching wonder. Or catastrophe.
