THe next chapter of Outcast Land will be here very shortly. I apologize for the dealy, my beta reader has been extremely ill this week. Usually, she would be able to have it done for me within 24 hours.
Just to let you know, with the Outcast Lands, I am not setting up a weekly post schedule. As soon as a chapter is done, I will post it right up. The usual wait time will be 5 or 6 days barring illnesses, or natural disasters.

I think the mistakes you found were all my fault. LOL. I read the changes and again use my grammer software, which really is getting on my nerves. It occasionally mixes up sentences, so I have to retype some of the wording, or punctuation, and it totally kills the formatting.
She does make some suggestions and I take most of them. The ones I don't I return it to how it was and rerun that paragraph through the software. That's how the process has gone.
Nothing new to report on the awards side. You know, there is one villain that I really wished got nominated for best villain, because to date, he was my absolute favorite to write. That villain was Lionel Luthor of my first Superman. That man was nasty. He open beat the crud out of his son, Lex, and when a teacher tried to stop the abuse, he threatens to black list her and her husband from ever holding another job in the country again. He pushed it further and said that she would then be forced into prostitution just so they could eat at the end of the day. That teacher ran away, weeping after that encounter. Lionel Luthor was one evil man.
He then ended up taking Lex hom and continued to beat him until a young Lex (who was 12 years of age at this time) stood up and punched his father. Lionel ended up praising him for finally standing up for himself and teaches him that whatever he wants, he must take it; and that if anything or anyone stands in his way,he must destroy it or them. This is the birth of the evil genious of Lex Luthor, who ends up, after graduating high school, murdering his father by slipping poison into his scotch so he can become owner of Luthorcorp.
I was very proud of that beginning of the story. You got to see Lex Luthor as Clark Kent's best friend, only to be tragicly transformed into the monster that he became.
Writing Lionel Luthor was intense, and very fun because he was just so evil, it was scary. I think he should have gotten a nod by getting nomination for best villain. Of course, we're talking about last year, so he probably ended up getting forgotten.

O.o oh wow. Youre totally right. He SHOULD have been the best villain. I really don't know why Ivar was chosen as the best, even when Wolfbane was noticeably worse. But Les's father DEFINATELY should have won that.

Fan Fiction award update: The nominations master list has been updated. At the end of this weekend, the qualifying list will be published. Any story that has recieved 3 votes becomes qualified for the award, except for most underrated, which only needs 1. If any catagory does not have at least three qualfied fics, then they bring over the nominations from the master list. None of the catagories have enough qualifying fan fictions, so there is a good chance all of my nominations will be qualified.
Current list of nominations: Best Action 2011: Trial By Fire (Flight of the Shadow Lord) Best Fantasy 2011: Trial By Fire Most Underrated 2011: Trial By Fire Most Underrated 2011: Superman: The Last Son of Krypton Most Underrated 2011: Superman: The Man of Steel Best Multi-post 2011: Trial By Fire Best Canon Interpretation, Male 2011: Hiccup in Trial By Fire Best Villain 2011: Ivar the Fearsome in Trial By Fire Best Villain 2011: Wolfbane in Trial By Fire Best Ensemble Cast 2011: Trial By Fire
As you can see, I've picked up a few more nominations, and now both of my Superman stories have been nominated. I now hold 3 out of the 4 current nominations for most underrated story of 2011.
It's turning into a much better awards season than I could have hoped for.

Another Fan Fiction Award update:
I really feel foolish now, because now I'm on the Master's list for more than 3/4 of the catagories. It's simply amazing.
Again reminder, There's the Master's List which is just stories that have been mentioned, and then there's the Qualified list where the stories are eligable for an award. It's still looking pretty well for all my stories to make it to the qualifying list. I'll find out sometime after this weekend.
Current nomination lists Best Action 2011: Trial By Fire (Flight of the Shadow Lord) Best Action 2011: Superman: The Man of Steel (Book 2 of 3) Best Fantasy 2011: Trial By Fire Best Non Sci-Fi Fic 2011: Superman: The Man of Steel (Book 2 of 3) Best Underrated 2011: Trial By Fire Best Underrated 2011: Superman: The Last Son of Krypton (Book 1 of 3) Best Underrated 2011: Superman: The Man of Steel (Book 2 of 3) Best Multipost Story 2011: Trial By Fire Best Multipost Story 2011: Superman: The Man of Steel (Book 2 of 3) Best Canon Interpretation, Male 2011: Hiccup in Trial By Fire Best Canon Interpretation, Male 2011: Clark Kent/Superman in The Man of Steel Best Canon Interpretation, Female 2011: Lois Lane in The Man of Steel Best Villain 2011: Ivar the Fearsome in Trial By Fire Best Villain 2011: Wolfbane in Trial By Fire Best Villain 2011: General Zod in The Man of Steel Best Ensemble Cast 2011: Trial By Fire Best Ensemble Cast 2011: Superman: The Man of Steel (Book 2 of 3) Best Author 2011: mrjop2
